By Car:
An ordinary car will have no problem reaching Nosara, but to truly enjoy your driving experience a small 4 wheel drive vehicle is a better choice. Drive time from San Jose is approximately 4 1/2 hours and from Liberia 2 1/2 hours.
By Bus:
The Alfaro Bus Company departs from San José to Nosara daily at 6:00 a.m., leaving from the Coca-Cola bus terminal, 14th street, 5th avenue. Fare is about $8.00 and it takes between 6 and 7 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. The telephone number is: 222-2750 or 223-8229. Buy your ticket in advance.
By Airplane:
Sansa flies between San José and Nosara three to four days a week, leaving about 7 or 7:30 a.m. Fare is about $55 each way, the trip takes approximately 45 minutes. Telephone: (506) 233-0397 or (506) 233-3258. Lacsa and some foreign airlines land at Liberia International Airport, about two and a half hours from Nosara by taxi or auto. Rental cars will meet you at the Liberia airport.
